Cui will step down as director of the Precourt Institute for Energy to focus on leading the Sustainability Accelerator at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability.

Three scientists from the Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and one Stanford and SLAC professor will receive Early Career Research Program grants.

Cui has served as director of the Precourt Institute for Energy since 2020 - a role he will continue until a new director is named.
