Abstract

In this last lecture I will start by discussing some of the phenomenological similarities and differences between magic-angle graphene-based systems and other correlated quantum materials, particularly the cuprates. Then I will discuss some recent experimental results on moiré systems beyond graphene, with emphasis on different opportunities that arise from non-equilibrium stacking engineering of bipartite lattices, as well as some ideas to push the frontiers of synthetic moiré quantum matter.
