New Views of a Classic (but not Classical) System the Josephson Junction Array

The advent of superconductor-semiconductor hybrid materials has triggered a re-examination of old problems in superconductivity. In this colloquium, I will take a fresh look at the Josephson junction array, emphasizing modern connections to frustration, flat bands, and superconducting qubits.
